For my Birthday from Riccy

This came a bit early .. but it means sooo much to me I am re-posting it in case anyone missed it ... I have never had anyone so great in my life as Riccy. I am so very proud of him and everything he does! He and Jeremy are the best sons anyone could ever ask for!
A Lesson in HIStory
The ancient Greeks and Romans created great structures,
Pyramids rose to the sky, aqueducts carried water, and arches became an everyday part of the buildings of their time.
And for this, I thank them.
In the middle ages, men learned how to use metal to make
better tools, structures, and machines.
And for this, I thank them.
Henry Ford showed us that the automobile could be mass-produced cheaper than it was before. His innovative ways
helped us thrive through the century.
And again, for this I thank him.
Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein, and many names that history forgets-- have changed the simple electrical current into something we cannot conceive being without! The great men, who under Dwight Eisenhower's orders, created a great network of roadways which has connected all of us into a truly united states.
Great men risked their lives to be able to express who they are. They lived in fear, and loved in private. Men who will never be remembered by historians live amongst us today, and we owe them our lifestyle, out ability to express ourselves openly, and our drive to live as who we are without fears or ridicule.
And to one of these great men--- I thank and love you daddy.
All my love,
Riccy
