Two Years

Glimmering Star ©2003 Sleepybear Productions

Death came in the silence of the night

a knock sending fear to the bone

He came looking for me alone

his ride had only room for one.

Better to leave this place,

and live now Forever.

Stand not at my grave and weep

For I'm the wind that stirs your soul

Look not for me for I'm not there

I'm the glint in flakes of snow

I'm the cool shower on April morn

In the hush of nights silent air

I'm the rush that that fills your soul

Stand not at my grave and weep

For I'm not dead

I'm with you at your side

When you feel the wind blow

I'm the sweet uplifting rush.

Look to the north

I'm the Glimmering star

Cry not for me

for I'm eternally yours.

Two Years ago....

Jeremy Gomez
Today is the day we went back to the hospital and it was the last time Jeremy Gomez was outside of the hospital. Within days he was diagnosed with Leukemia - 14 days from today he took his last breath. Help us - support the walk for those that have Leukemia and Lymphoma - we walk in Jeremy's name.

This is our 2nd year walking in memory of my son Jeremy Eric Gomez. He left us when he was 16. Unfortunately, we did not know that he had Leukemia. How long it was tearing away at hom, we do not know.He got sick in May of 2010 and after numerous tests, he had a Liver Transplant. Shortly thereafter, he was sick again. This time someone saw the cells and they did not look right. A few hours later, it was confirmed that he had Leukemia. ALL. Chemotherapy was started immeadiately. 2 weeks later he was gone. His body was tired from the surgery and trying to recoup. When the chemo came on it was too much for his body.
